A farewell to Bavarian Football Works

We won everything together, and now it’s time for me to go.

With the 2016-17 season completed, it is now officially time for me to step aside here at Bavarian Football Works. It has been an honor and a privilege to lead this community over the last four plus years, but now it’s time for someone else to take the reigns.

We’ve had some great moments to celebrate together including a record five consecutive Bundesliga titles, three DFB Pokals, a DFL Supercup, and one glorious UEFA Champions League trophy. While there some disappointments, the positives outweigh any negatives.

So, with that said, I have some people that I want to thank.

Ryan and Davis were the first two that signed up to help me run BFW when I took over the site in March 2013. I had some vague ideas of how I wanted to do things, and those two really committed a ridiculous amount of time to transform this place into what you see today. I owe them a debt of gratitude. Thank you both.

I’d also like to thank everyone else that joined us to make this place a success. No matter how big or small, I owe all of these people a thank you (in no particular order): John D, John B, Valentin, Luke, Rob, George, Victor, Mike, Gianluca, Nick, Neil, Tyler, Samrin, Brittany, Caleb, Tobi, Sam, Scott, and Andy.

Thank you.

Finally, to the commenters: You are what truly makes BFW worth doing. If the community didn’t exist, none of us would do any of this. Thank you.

Your new boss will be around shortly. I think he’s going to do an excellent job to serve you.

This isn’t goodbye forever, but I do need an extended break. Farewell for now, and I’ll see you in the comments.
