According to media reports in Germany and Italy, Juventus will either secure a loan deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches or be forced to end its interest, as Sanches has said his “objective” to stay in Germany next season.

The 19-year-old Sanches struggled to make any impact at Bayern last season and Juventus were hopeful of luring him away just 12 months after joining Bayern for €35 million from Benfica. No club has be willing to match that transfer fee for Sanches, according to Monday’s edition of kicker.

Juventus have also been in talks to sign winger Douglas Costa from Bayern and were hopeful of signing Sanches to an initial two-year loan deal with an option to buy similar to the deal for Kingsley Coman to Bayern.

“Bayern are a great club and, in principle, I’ll stay in Bavaria” Sanches told Tuttomercato via Football Italia. “If I had to leave, I won’t be discouraged, but my objective is to stay and do my best for this shirt.”

Sanches only started six games in the Bundesliga last season and made 11 additional appearances from the bench. Sanches also fell away from the Portugal senior national team for the FIFA Confederations Cup to the U21 side for European Championship.

Sanches finished last season as Bayern’s lowest rated outfield player (6.43) in the Bundesliga, according to WhoScored.

Juventus have also been in talks to sign winger Douglas Costa from Bayern but those talks have stalled amid Bayern wanting €50 million for Costa and Juventus not wanting to pay above €40 million, according to kicker.

A Bayern fan has been tweeting at Costa daily to leave the club, and Costa finally responded to him by laughing off the tweets.

As for Alexis Sánchez, kicker reported that between the transfer fee and wages, the current Arsenal and Chile scoring ace is too expensive to be brought into the club. Also, kicker reports that Bayern is interested in buying Schalke's Leon Goretzka if his current club make him available this summer. Goretzka is under contract with Schalke until June 2018.
