No matter what the source, possible talk of Bayern Munich losing goal-scoring ace Robert Lewandowski to a Premier League side is worth a few words.
British tabloid Daily Mirror says that PL champions Chelsea are interested in Lewandowski as a possible replacement for Diego Costa, who actually has not left the club yet.

Sky Sports added a little more fuel to the fire when it said that Manchester United is “very keen” on Lewandowski and both Chelsea and United had held preliminary talks about a move.

Of course, Manchester United likes the possibility of Lewandowski scoring 30-plus goals for them next season. What’s not to like about it?
Bayern Munich does not like anything about it and released a statement to Sky Sports that said, “Lewandowski’s contract expires 2021, he signed it not long ago. Lewandowski does not want to leave Bayern. There are no talks with other clubs and there won’t be any. If other clubs negotiate with long-time contract players they risk a FIFA penalty.”
Most, if not all, of this Lewandowski speculation about his wanting to leave Bayern comes the apparent row from not getting support from the team in his attempt to win the Torjägerkanone, the award given to the top scorer in the Bundesliga.
The Silly Season is in full swing.
