Will Tom Starke stay at Bayern Munich for another season?

Following his game-saving penalty stop against Darmstadt on Saturday, Tom Starke was asked about his future at Bayern Munich. There’s long been speculation about what Bayern will do this summer with their goalkeeping situation. We looked at that here.

"With this performance, nobody will take me out of the goal,” Starke said jokingly. “No, we'll sit down next week and see what happens with me next. Right now I'm just going to drive home; we're going to bbq."

Sven Ulreich is most certainly leaving the club this summer in search of playing time following two years of deputizing for Manuel Neuer. There has been speculation on Starke’s future. Will he sign another one year contract, will he play for Bayern II for a season, or will he retire from playing and join Bayern’s academy as a coach?

The club has a lot of decisions to make with regards to transfers this summer. Goalkeeper is just one position of many that needs to be sorted.
