Carlo Ancelotti has named the starting lineup for Bayern Munich’s match against Freiburg, and it is mostly what we thought it would be. Philipp Lahm, Xabi Alonso, and Tom Starke will all start in their final professional matches.
Robert Lewandowski leads a front for with Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller, and Arjen Robben behind him. Lewandowski is going for the Torjägerkanone and will hopefully edge Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the award.
Alonso and Arturo Vidal will work to boss the center of the park on the day. Vidal will have to be very active, covering a lot of ground between Alonso and Müller. We know he’s got it in him.
The back four sees Juan Bernat slide in at left back, pushing David Alaba to centerback where he partners Jerome Boateng. Der Kapitän Lahm will hold down the fort at right back. Strong Starke will anchor the club at the back.
