Der Klassiker is here again. Bayern Munich lost the opening match of their exchange in Dortmund as the hosts dominated proceedings. Visiting the Allianz Arena is a different monster altogether though and Bayern may have the upper hand given the breadth of injuries plaguing Thomas Tuchel’s side.

To take us through this Dortmund side is Brian Meyers, our colleague over at our sister site, Fear The Wall.

Ryan: After a full season, who is Julian Weigl's best midfield partner against the likes of Bayern Munich?

Brian: At the moment its Gonzalo Castro. Castro might be the most inconsistent player on the team but the past few games he has played fantastic. Hopefully Castro will show up against Bayern. In the future Weigl’s midfield partner will almost definitely be Mahmoud Dahoud who will join BVB this summer.

Ryan: Marc Bartra seems to be growing into the centerback everyone expected him to become at Barcelona. How has he improved and what does he still need to work on?

Brian: Marc Bartra was proabably the worst player on the team from October to December. He was giving up goals practically every game; it was not pretty. Since the start of the second half of the season he is a new man.

Defensively he looks like a brand new player. He has been able to keep with his man more often as well as make clutch tackles when the opposing team is on the break. As for what he needs to work on, he still is not great at choosing who to pass to when we are playing out the back. Also he still shows flashed of November Bartra where he just makes incredible mistakes.

Ryan: If Dortmund had to start from scratch and choose only one, would they choose Christian Pulisic or Ousman Dembele?

Brian: While Christian Pulisic is great, Dembele is on an another level. Since the start of the second half of the season, Dembele has been one of the most dangerous players in the Bundesliga while still only being a teenager. It's insane to see him improve not just game to game but within games as well. Dembele has the potential to be one of the best players in the world.

Ryan: So are you selling Thomas Tuchel to Arsenal or not?

Brian: Why would he want to be an assistant to Arsene Wegner who will be at the club for years and years losing to Bayern in the Champions League each and every time?
