Today just got better.

Due to results from the early games in Matchday 31 of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich can officially win the league title against Wolfsburg. RB Leipzig were held to a scoreless draw by Bayern’s Bavarian brothers FC Ingolstadt. This means that if Bayern beat Wolfsburg, Bayern will be ten points clear with only three matches left to play.

This would be Bayern’s record fifth straight Bundesliga championship and record 26th overall (27 total German championships). This incredible current stretch of Bundesliga championships began under Jupp Heynckes and has continued under Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti.

Still, there remains work to be done. If Bayern fail to beat Wolfsburg today, they will have to wait until next week for their opportunity to clinch the 2016-17 Bundesliga title.

It’s been kind of a rough first season for Carlo Ancelotti in Munich, but winning the Bundesliga title will bring a smile to the faces of Bayern supporters.
