Days before traveling to China and Singapore for the Audi Summer Tour 2017, Bayern Munich will participate in the Telekom Cup 2017. Borussia Park will host this year’s event with Bayern being joined by Borussia Mönchengladbach, Hoffenheim, and Werder Bremen. The Telekom Cup will take place on July 15.

This is actually the second Telekom Cup in 2017. The summer 2016 version was delayed until January 2017 due to the European Championship. Bayern won the event, finishing ahead of Mainz, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Gladbach.

Werder will be participating in the Telekom Cup for the first time ever, while Mainz make their second appearance and Gladbach their fourth. Bayern will be participating in their record ninth event.

The Telekom Cup is two “semifinals”, a third place game, and a final. The games are 45 minutes long and will go directly to a shootout if tied. The matches will be announced at a later date.
