On to the next...

Bayern Munich return to the field on Saturday as the Bavarians return to the Bundesliga following their exit from the Champions League. Mainz travels to the Allianz Arena to take on Bayern who may or may not be up for the game. After Tuesday’s let down, who’s ready to play against Mainz in a league match?

It would be extremely surprising to see either Mats Hummels or Jerome Boateng taking part in this match following the clash in Madrid. Both players played a full 120 minutes of that match with injuries and probably should be given the day off with another big match against Borussia Dortmund midweek.

Manuel Neuer’s fractured foot is going to keep him on the sidelines for probably the remainder of the season, so Sven Ulreich is going to play the remainder of the season for Bayern.

It’s tough to see a scenario in which Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa don’t start this match. Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are obviously Carlo Ancelotti’s number one option, but the younger players need to see the field in this match.

We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Mainz.
