Bastian Schweinsteiger helped the Chicago Fire to a 2-2 draw in his MLS debut against the Montreal Impact. Schweinsteiger scored a goal on a header seventeen minutes into the match. He also had a key pass on a play that would draw a red card against Montreal.

Here’s the goal.

He joins a really solid midfield of Dax McCarty and Juninho. Chicago has been one of the worst teams in MLS over the last several season, but they made some key additions over the winter and are targeting a much improved 2017.

Here’s a collection of great passes on the day from Schweinsteiger.

No, you’re not going to get weekly updates on Schweinsteiger’s time in Chicago, but his first goal is worth watching.
