Game on in Madrid, Bayern need one more

Robert Lewandowski converts penalty

After narrowly avoiding disaster on a few occasions, Bayern Munich has pulled within a goal of advancing to the Champions League semifinals after Robert Lewandowski converted his second-half penalty. The chance was created when Arjen Robben was taken down in the box.

Lewandowski now has scored in four straight Champions League games and has eight during this tournament.

Although Lewandowski’s goal pulled Bayern even on aggregate, they need at least one more goal in order to advance. As it stands now, Real Madrid has a 2-1 away-goals advantage.
