Bayern Munich return to the field on Saturday following the March international break. Carlo Ancelotti’s side will take the field in a Bavarian Derby against Augsburg.
Both Xabi Alonso and Javi Martinez will be suspended for the match due to an accumulation of yellow cards. The good news is that Jerome Boateng is back and ready to go for Bayern. He’ll slot into centerback to partner Mats Hummels.
As for the midfield, options abound. It’s likely that Arturo Vidal will start the match on the bench due to his flying back to Munich from Chile on Wednesday. One could expect to see Joshua Kimmich partnered with the great Thiago Alcantara in the midfield behind the attacking front.
We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Augsburg.
