Lukas Podolski was given a farewell match for Germany during this international break, and he certainly made the most of his opportunity. Podolski scored the lone goal in Germany’s 1-0 win over England with what can only be described as a “typical Podolski” goal.
The former Bayern Munich attacker has spent the majority of his career being more impressive for his country than his various clubs, and this goal was no different.
Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger announced their international retirements following Euro 2016. Schweinsteiger received his Germany swansong last fall.
Watch Podolski’s goal in all of it’s glory.
