Bayern Munich are back at it this Saturday when Schalke 04 visit the Allianz Arena. The Bavarians won the reverse fixture in a hard-fought 2-0 game. Twenty four points separate the two teams in the table, but a decent game is expected.
Thiago Alcantara, Philipp Lahm, and Arturo Vidal returned to Bayern training this week ahead of the big game. However, Joshua Kimmich won’t be available for the match, as he is ill.
Now, we won’t bore you with the story about how Manuel Neuer came to Bayern again, but it’s known that Neuer likes to put on great performances against his old club.
Bayern will return to the field on Wednesday with a DFB Pokal match against Wolfsburg. Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping to put a few goals past Schalke early to get a few key players off the field and rested.
It’s Bayern time.
