Can Bayern build upon last week’s win?

Bayern Munich get their first home match of 2017 on Saturday when Schalke visit the Allianz Arena for a Bundesliga match. The two teams may be separated by 24 points in the table, but it should be a fun league contest.

Philipp Lahm, Arturo Vidal, and Thiago Alcantara all returned to training this week with their sights set on getting into the starting lineup for this weekend’s match. With a DFB Pokal match midweek, Carlo Ancelotti may decide against starting both Vidal and Thiago in the midfield in order to save one of them for that match.

With Franck Ribery out with an injury, expect Douglas Costa stick in the starting lineup. While Ribery isn’t officially out of the Arsenal match that takes place in two weeks, he is doubtful, and Costa needs all the reps he can get to prepare himself for the huge match.

We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Schalke.

Predicted lineups

Alonso - Vidal
Alaba - Hummels - Martinez - Lahm

Who do you think Carlo Ancelotti is going to start against Schalke in Saturday’s Bundesliga match.
