Carlo Ancelotti is facing an inquiry from the German Football Association (DFB) after an incident following Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin on Saturday. Video showed him giving the middle finger to Hertha Berlin fans as he made his way off the field.
Ancelotti didn’t hesitate when asked by ARD Sportschau after the game: "Yes, I made this gesture as I was spat at earlier." While the camera is too far away to show the Hertha fans spitting at Ancelotti, you an clearly see him giving them the middle finger in response to something.
Here’s the video from after the match.

If a punishment is forthcoming for Ancelotti, it’s likely in the €2000-4000 range.
This wasn’t the only incident being looked at by the DFB. After Robert Lewandowski’s last second equalizer, Hertha goalkeeper Rune Jarstein kicked the ball into the back of Xabi Alonso from point blank range causing a shoving match between the two sides.
