Bayern Munich are looking to leave their disappointing Matchday 19 draw with Schalke 04, as well as their frustrating DFB Pokal midweek win over Wolfsburg far in the past. Matchday 20 sees them pay a visit to FC Ingolstadt and the Audi Sportpark.
For Bayern, they are riding a wave of health. Franck Ribery returned to training this week and may be available off the bench ahead of next Tuesday’s important clash against Arsenal FC. Going up against relegation fodder FC Ingolstadt should prove to be an important confidence exercise for Bayern.
With Ribery’s return and Robben’s age, expect Kingsley Coman to nab some minutes this weekend out wide while Carlo Ancelotti rotates to give some of his older players the time off they need to be at their best against Arsenal. This might include Philipp Lahm and Arturo Vidal, though it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for Bayern to rest Robert Lewandowski seeing as he has sat just a single game this season.
We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Ingolstadt.
