Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern Munich: Gamethread

This is like the Dark Souls of Bundesliga fixtures.

Get ready to smash your heads against a brick wall, Bayern fans! It’s time for one of the most unpleasant games in the Bundesliga calendar, the seasonal visit to the Kovac brothers’ den of pain and misery.

Frankfurt have been on the receiving end of some proper thrashings by the Bavarians in the recent past - but often they are able to claw their way to a draw. Last season, Carlo Ancelotti’s men blew a lead to draw 2-2 against a Frankfurt side that had been reduced to 10 men. Of course, Jupp Heynckes’ Bayern is a very different beast, and Niko Kovac’s boys will have their work cut out for them. With Javi Martinez, Jerome Boateng, Arturo Vidal, and Thomas Muller all expected to be back after being rested against PSG, Bayern will be able to field a full strength XI for this game.

It’s Bayern time.

  1. If you’re a new member, feel free to introduce yourself. Don’t feel pressured or anything, we’re mostly very friendly. Also, we’re from all parts of the world so don’t feel shy if you’re from a country that doesn’t seem represented on the blog.
  2. Refresh the page regularly to keep up with the discussion. One refresh every 55-60 seconds is ideal but if that’s too much then just try for one every five minutes and after every goal.
  3. The goal celebrations are for everyone to participate in. Even if you’re lagging behind the others, keep replying to the most recent call of the player’s name. Even if you missed the first call, just start from the second, and so on.
