Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes voiced his displeasure about Colombian playmakerJames Rodriguez having to travel thousands of miles for two upcoming international friendlies. The first takes place in South Korea on Friday before playing in China only four days later.
Heynckes didn’t hold back in a news conference after Bayern’s win over Borussia Dortmund:
“Honestly, this is verging on insanity, James Rodriguez is flying to South Korea and then onto China to play two games. Quite frankly this is incomprehensible. We are demanding things from players which are impossible from a physiological aspect.”
After a slow start because of a muscle injury, Rodriguez is quickly becoming an important player for Bayern, with 2 goals and 3 assists so far this season.
