The previous loan deal was made permanent

Former Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa has impressed the front office of Juventus enough for them to shell out €46 million to secure his long-term services. The €46 million is a new club transfer fee record for Bayern, breaking the previous record of €30 million for Toni Kroos to Real Madrid set in 2014.

Costa had an up-and-down tenure at Bayern, impressing early on but ultimately wasn't able to be consistent enough to earn a regular spot in the starting XI. Though it would be exciting to see what Jupp Heynckes could do with the naturally gifted Brazilian, ultimately, this deal works out well for all parties involved. Juventus gets some much needed help on the wing, Costa gets to play regularly for a top European side and Bayern get a nice wad of cash.
