Bayern Munich have agreed a deal to sign 16-year-old Sweden youth international Alex Timossi Andersson from Swedish second division club Helsingborgs IF.
The attacking midfielder, who has scored twice in 16 appearances for Helsingborgs IF this season, will join Bayern on July 1, 2019.
“Alex Timossi Andersson is a highly talented player,” Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said. “We’re convinced that he will be a success at Bayern. Before joining us he will remain at Helsinborgs, where he will continue to gain experience and develop in familiar surroundings.”
Part of Helsinborgs’ first team since January, Andersson has scored six goals in four appearances for Sweden’s U-15 side, while netting twice in seven outings for the U-16s.
This is the second young foreign attacking player have signed this year. Bayern signed 17-year-old South Korean youth international Wooyeong Jeong in August, making him the first ever South Korean to play for Bayern when he joins the club in January 2018.
