Things are looking extra bleak for Bayern Munich these days. Franck Ribery was withdrawn due to a non-contact injury in the 63rd minute of their match against Hertha BSC. Ribery was starting a counterattack down the left hand side, when he overextended his leg trying to control the ball. Ribery immediately fell clutching his knee and signaling for assistance.
That has to hurt!

Frank Ribery suffers a nasty looking injury! Let's hope it's not too serious!#BSCFCB pic.twitter.com/w2Qzt8CBQM
Ribery was immediately examined by medical staff and subsequently carried from the field by two trainers, unable to put weight on the leg. He was taken straight to the locker room. UPDATE: Ribery was taken directly to the hospital. He was replaced by Kingsley Coman.

For Bayern, this is extra troubling as Arjen Robben was withdrawn just minutes before after 60 minutes of almost lifeless play. Carlo Ancelotti’s tenure at Bayern Munich resurrected an increased dependence on their dynamic wing duo, and trouble with both of them means big trouble for Bayern Munich.
