The training camp in Doha has been going well at the state of the art facility until now. Bayern Munich have announced that Thiago Alcantara has a thigh injury and will miss the remainder of camp.
The muscle injury could sideline Thiago for several weeks, and Sport Bild speculate that the injury puts his attendance against Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 in jeopardy.
If Thiago is going to be out for several weeks, it’s likely that Carlo Ancelotti would slide Thomas Müller into the formation at the attacking midfielder/second striker position behind Robert Lewandowski. While Bayern would miss Thiago’s transition ability and final pass from out of the midfield, Müller gives the club another target closer to goal.
Hopefully, the injury for Thiago is not a serious one, and he’s able to return to the field as soon as possible to continue the impressive season that he’s had to date.
