Several of Europe’s biggest clubs have already ventured into the television market with their own channel, and it looks like Bayern Munich are set to join them. The channel could be ready to launch before the end of the current season, according to TZ.
The plan would be an enhanced version of the current FCBayern.tv. This would include delayed matches of the first team, youth team matches, Bayern Munich Frauen matches, and coverage of the Bayern basketball team in addition to new content.
In recent months, Bayern has gone to great lengths to improve their in-house production staff and equipment. The club now features a lengthy pregame show on for Bundesliga matches and continues to pump out quality YouTube content.
Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter, Milan, Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Marseille, Bordeaux, and Lyon already have their own individual television channels in their respective home countries and around the world.
