As Bayern Munich prepare to play in the 2017 Telekom Cup this weekend, the Bavarians will have to do it without the services of their fantastic flying Dutchman. Arjen Robben will miss Saturday’s friendlies due to a cold that he picked up toward the end of the club’s training camp in Doha.
Robben won’t be the only Bayern player missing the friendly tournament. Both Thiago Alcantara and Jerome Boateng are out with injuries, while Kingsley Coman has only recently returned to training. However, Robben isn’t the only one that will miss the game due to being sick. Sven Ulreich is also under the weather.
Bayern are joined by Borussia Mönchengladbach, Mainz, and Fortuna Düsseldorf in this year’s version of the Telekom Cup. They’ll start against Fortuna and then play the winner or loser of Gladbach’s match with Mainz depending on the results.
Bayern will return to the Bundesliga next Friday against SC Freiburg.
