That whole temporary not enough centerbacks issue at Bayern Munich? That’s solved. Bayern Munich and Niklas Sule have reportedly agreed to terms that will see the 21-year-old centerback join the club this summer.
BILD reports that Sule has agreed to a 5-year contract while Hoffenheim has accepted a €20M transfer fee. All that remains for both clubs is to dot the i’s and cross the t’s with a medical examination.
Sule has been regular contributor to the Hoffenheim first team for the past three seasons and has been a mainstay at every German youth level and has one senior team cap. He was a key part of the U23 squad that placed second in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He has appeared in 16 matches for TSG Hoffenheim this season and is a key reason why they currently sit 5th in the Bundesliga standings.
BILD also reports Sebastian Rudy will be joining Bayern Munich on a free transfer and signing a 3-year contract. As Rudy’s contract with Hoffenheim concludes at the end of this season, this is likely a summer move. This move should probably start being called the “Sebastian special”.
