After one week of Bundesliga matches, FIFA decided it was time to put us through an international break. However, that break is finally finished, and Bayern Munich will return to the field on Friday against Schalke.
There’s a high likelihood that we see the Bayern Munich debut of Mr. Renato Sanches. The Portuguese European Champion missed the entire preseason due to a issue lingering since the end of the Portugal’s run in France, but he’s healthy and ready to go now.
Schalke has the ability to challenge Bayern with a youthful attack and speed. It remains to be seen how quickly they can put it all together.
As with all Bayern matches, all eyes will be on Robert Lewandowski as he goes for 50. Can the Bayern man hit that magical number? Now that he’s the focal point of the Bayern attack, anything is possible.
Will Bayern get the job done in Gelsenkirchen?
