Two season’s ago, Bayern Munich faced an early top of the table clash against SC Paderborn. It’s safe to say this year’s early top of the table clash against Hertha BSC should be a dramatically more enticing affair.
Bayern Munich come into this match riding the stellar form of Robert Lewandowski who has been a goal machine this season, already having notched nine goals across all competitions. Complete with a masterful midfield and not to mention their stellar defense, Bayern are the toughest ask for any team.
That makes the absence of Vladimir Darida and John Anthony Brooks all the more painful for Hertha BSC. The capital club made a charge up the table last season behind the strength of their young core and large performances from the aforementioned duo in addition to former Bayern wingback Mitchell Weiser. This is Hertha’s toughest game yet. It doesn’t help that it has to occur at the Allianz Arena.
