Friday marks the beginning of the 2016-17 Bundesliga, and we couldn’t be more excited to see the teams back on the field. The league opener sees everyone’s favorite team Bayern Munich hosting Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern are still going to be without several potential starters for this match as they continue to recover from injuries. Don’t expect to see Arjen Robben, Douglas Costa, or Renato Sanches on the field for Bayern until after the international break.

While there are a few starters written into the lineup in pen, there are a few areas that could see some tinkering from Carlo Ancelotti as he tries to find the right balance in his squad. The most notable position is, of course, in the midfield.

We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Werder.

Predicted lineups
