EA Sports announced yesterday that they have partnered with Bayern Munich to become their official video game partner.

The video game giants seem to have visited the German giants at the end of last season and scanned every players face into their database to be used in their new FIFA game set to be released this fall.

On top of the player faces, they have, from the looks of it, re-modeled the in-game version of the Allianz Arena to make it look more like its real-life counterpart.

“We realize gaming is a powerful tool for reaching millions of engaged fans around the world. We also know the size of the gaming community continues to rise.” said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in a press release on fcb.de. “Therefore our partnership with EA Sports is a very important step for our future. Two leading global brands partnering ultimately brings tremendous value to our fans in Germany, the U.S., and worldwide.” The full release can be found here.

Bayern are the third club to partner up with EA Sports, with Real Madrid being the first to do so for last years game, and Juventus Turin also joining in on the fun for this years game.

EA Sports released a video on their YouTube channel documenting their visit to Munich, which can be seen here, while further pictures and player faces can be found here.
