Less than a week after winning the 2016 German Cup against Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich hit the road again for their first round matchup in the 2016-17 DFB Pokal. On Friday, Bayern will take on Carl Zeiss Jena with a berth in the second round on the line.
The big question of the match is what lineup Carlo Ancelotti will play against the Regionalliga side. Does he roll out a full strength side or is their some rotation with a few reserves coming into the game?
Considering that this is only Ancelotti’s second match with a relatively full roster, it would not be surprising to see him send a lineup out against Jena that he expects to start in the Bundesliga opener against Werder Bremen.
However, maybe there will be a few tweaks here and there? Perhaps Ancelotti decides to give Joshua Kimmich some run in the midfield or maybe he gives Sven Ulreich a game in goal?
We asked three of our writers to predict what lineup Ancelotti will play against Jena.
