Bayern Munich take the field against Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday in the seventh annual DFL Supercup. All eyes will be on new coach Carlo Ancelotti, as fans wait to see what lineup he’ll unveil to the world.
This will be Ancelotti’s first match with all non-injured players available for his choosing. The earlier summer friendlies the Italian was without the players that competed in Euro 2016 and Copa America Centenario.
I asked the staff to pick their starting lineup for the Supercup. Now, this is far more difficult than you think. The only definite absences from the game are Arjen Robben, Renato Sanches, Douglas Costa, and Holger Badstuber. Jerome Boateng, Xabi Alonso, and Franck Ribery also missed training sessions this week.
Here’s who we think Ancelotti will start against Dortmund.
