Julian Green scores first half hat trick against Inter Milan

This was unexpected.

You can’t tell me that you tuned in to Bayern Munich taking on Inter Milan and expected to watch the Julian Green Show. Still, that’s what the first half in Charlotte, North Carolina became.

Green scored three good goals to lead Bayern to a 4-0 lead of the Serie A club. There can be no mistake that this is a friendly and Inter, quite frankly, looks like garbage. However, this is the first choice defense for a team that finished in fourth place in Serie A last year.

The first goal came on a perfect cross from David Alaba who had all day out wide to send the ball into the box. Green scored past Samir Handanovic with a nice sliding finish.

The second came on a breakaway with Green and Franck Ribery. The Frenchman unselfishly played the ball into space to Green. The American international struck the ball first time to beat Handanovic to the far post from outside of the box.

The third goal was probably offside. However, it still counts as a goal. Green finished a low, hard cross from Rafinha into the roof of the net to give Bayern the 4-0 lead and complete the hat trick.

Keep it up, Julian.
