Bayern Munich II goalkeeper Ivan Lucic is leaving the club with intentions of joining Bristol City in English second division. Bristol City’s coach confirmed the expected transfer in a radio interview.
"He's just got to complete his medical, which is 90% done,” Bristol City coach Lee Johnson said. “He's athletic, he kicks the ball well and it's interesting to take a punt on one like that, because he's got a really good pedigree."
Lucic joined Bayern from SV Ried for an estimated €400,000 in he summer of 2014. The 21 year old goalkeeper was always on the outside looking in of Bayern’s first team, and with younger prospect Christian Früchtl making waves in his progression, there probably isn’t a long term future for Lucic either.
Lucic even posted the following photo on his Snapchat announcing the upcoming move. Hopefully, he’ll fix his hair before his official introduction. Good luck, Ivan!
