Christian Früchtl may be the future for Bayern Munich and Germany at the goalkeeper position. Now, the 16 year old has a professional contract with the German Rekordmeister.
Früchtl announced his first ever pro contract with Bayern on his Facebook page this week. Since January, it has been rumored that Früchtl will be promoted to the club’s third goalkeeper when Tom Starke retires at the end of the 2016-17 season. The veteran goalkeeper has already moved into helping the club’s youth teams when available.
Pep Guardiola took Früchtl with the first team to Doha during the winter training camp, and Carlo Ancelotti is expected to bring him with the club to the United States next week as the club continues with preseason on the Audi Summer Tour where they’ll play AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.
Oh, hey, Uli Hoeneß was there when Früchtl signed his contract. A prelude to Uli getting heavily involved with the club once again?
