Pep Guardiola will be returning to the Allianz Arena far sooner than anyone expected. Manchester City are set to visit Bayern Munich for a preseason friendly on July 20, if this report out of England is to be believed.

The match takes place days before Bayern leave Europe for the United States and Man City leave for China. Both are competing in the International Champions Cup. Bayern's opponents in the USA are AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid. Man City's opponents are Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.

Guardiola's final match with Bayern was the DFB Pokal Final victory against Borussia Dortmund. The Spaniard shed tears after the final whistle and was handed the trophy by captain Philipp Lahm to lift in the celebrations.

The match will be Bayern's second friendly under new manager Carlo Ancelotti. On July 16, Bayern will play a friendly against SV Lippstadt.

The friendly could be announced as early as Monday, June 6.
