Bayern Munich have announced the signing of two Dutch players to bolster the squad for the upcoming season. The defending two-time Frauen Bundesliga champions have signed Stefanie van der Gragt from FC Twente Enschede and Jacintha Weimer from the CTO Eindhoven Academy.

"Stefanie is a very talented, combative and experienced center-back," head coach Thomas Wörle said. "Her physicality and winning mentality will strengthen our team."

Van der Gragt was a member of the Twente team that knocked Bayern out of last season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League on away goals. She’s been a regular on the Netherlands national side, playing in last summer’s FIFA Women's World Cup.

"I am honored that a great club like Bayern Munich has chosen me,” Van der Gragt said. “I am looking forward to this new challenge and want to win titles with FC Bayern in the coming seasons."

Weimer is a young goalkeeper without any first team experience but is a promising player with many reps with the Dutch youth national teams.

Both have signed contracts through June 30, 2018.
