It’s the day for Group F matches in Euro 2016, and they get a day all to themselves. The matches feature Austria and Hungary facing off in the opener, and Portugal taking the field against Iceland in the second match.
The two biggest stars on the day are unquestioningly Austria’s David Alaba and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo. However, they will not face each other until June 18.
Yes, this means that one of the most entertaining players in world football will be taking the field, and Cristiano Ronaldo will follow in the nightcap.
Austria vs. Hungary (Group F)
The “David Alaba is the best” show rolls into Euro 2016 on Tuesday when Austria takes on Hungary. With Portugal being their second match in the competition, Austria will be looking to come out and take all three points against Hungary in the opener. Anything less could spell disaster for them later in the group stage.

Portugal vs. Iceland (Group F)
The big story in this match remains “Can Cristiano Ronaldo carry Portugal to the Promised Land, but the bigger story in this group is “OH MY GOD ICELAND IS PLAYING AT EURO 2016!”. Iceland isn’t going to be expected to push Portugal in this match, but they better keep an eye on Alfreð Finnbogason. If the Augsburg striker finds himself in any space, he’s going to take a crack at the goal and just might tip the scales in Iceland’s favor.
