Group C was the first page turner of the 2016 Copa America. A thrilling and controversial 3-1 win for Mexico over Uruguay capped off the day that saw Venezuela take an early lead against the run of play, before an early red card doomed Jamaica to a long afternoon in the Chicago sun.

The second set of matches in Group C is do-or-die for Uruguay while Mexico can clinch an early ticket to the quarterfinals with a win.

Uruguay vs. Venezeula

Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA

Time: 7:30pm local/ET

Losing 3-1 to Mexico stings. Uruguay are the perennial underdogs that punch above their weight and through the first 40 minutes against Mexico, they had an almost even ability to get out ahead of their group. 4th minure own goals won't easily repeat themselves nor is Matias Vecino's horrendous tackling ability likely to doom them to playing down a man over the final 45 minutes.

Add the strength of their Venezuelan opposition, and this should be a high flying match for Edinson Cavani and company. That goes double if Luis Suarez is fit enough to suit up.

Players to Watch: Edinson Cavani. I mean, this is kind of self-explanatory. Watching him play is kind of a reward in it's own right. Unless Luis Suarez plays. Then you're just watching in case Dracula 2000 needs a sequel.

Mexico vs Jamaica

Location: Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, CA

Time: 7:00pm local time, 10pm ET

Mexico has an extensive history against Jamaica. This should be six points and a quarterfinal berth in the bag for El Tri. Chicharito and Hector Herrera were fit and monstrous against Uruguay and against Jamaica this should be no contest.

Players to watch: Chicharito, Hector Herrerea. Rafa Marquez is always good for one brilliant tackle followed minutes later by the most hilariously inept challenge you've seen in a while. Though the true talent will be seeing if Jesus Manuel Corona can keep up the impressive head of steam he built for himself against Uruguay.
