Draw for 2016-17 DFB Pokal first round will be on June 18

Who will Bayern draw?

The DFB will hold the draw for the first round of the 2016-17 DFB Pokal on June 18. The games will be played during the period of August 19-22. The Bundesliga kicks off on August 26.

In their march to another DFB Pokal trophy last season, Bayern Munich won away to FC Nöttingen 3-1.

The teams are separated into two separate pots for the draw. The first is the “Professional Pot” featuring all of the clubs in the Bundesliga and the top fourteen teams from the 2.Bundesliga. The second is the “Amateur Pot" featuring the bottom four teams in the 2.Bundesliga, the top four teams in the 3.Liga, and the winners of the regional cup competitions.
