The final whistle against Bayer Leverkusen was welcomed with lot of cheers and happiness, and even with a sigh of relief. Recently, the club from Bavaria was not performing at their best, where they also had to bow out from the domestic  cup against SC Sand. However, this title was deservedly won and now it is time to make the necessary leap of quality to achieve success in Europe, just like counterparts FFC Frankfurt and VfL Wolfsburg.

Coach Thomas Worle: ''What the team has reached, is just sensational. The championship was well defended by my girls who showed exceptional team spirit. Also, I could add workds like sensational and phenonemal.

Manager Karin Danner: ''It is absolute madness. Last year it was a nerve-wrecking ending, while this year we were the sovereigns. It just showed how far we came.''

Did you know we had a gladiator in our team? If no, neither we, don't worry. Sheer brilliance from our girls as they embraced this year's campaign with an incredible fighting spirit which enabled them to secure the title two matches to go.

Celebrations did not stop on the football pitch, as the players kept on celebrating together with fans outside the stadium! It underlined how the girls are close to their supporters and how much it means to them, having solid fan base.
