You can add another to your Bayern Munich summer calendar. Before departing on their Audi Tour of North America in mid-July, Die Roten will first play a summer charity friendly against Oberliga opponents SV Lippstadt on July 16th.
Bayern last played SV Lippstadt during the Jurgen Klinsmann era of Bayern Munich. This time 50% of the profits from the match will go to SV Lippstadt, the childhood club of Karl-Heinz Rumenigge, while the other half will go towards refugee aid in the region.
This is something of a semi-annual tradition for Bayern Munich. From charity friendlies against Dynamo Dresden or Hansa Rostock to help address the financial hardships of lower division football to donations to charities addressing local catastrophes to the larger Syrian/European refugee crisis, they've consistently done their part. This summer friendly is yet another occurrence to add to the list of times when Bayern Munich have given back to the global community.
