Gina Lewandowski has been called back up to the United States Women's National Team ahead of two upcoming friendlies against Japan. This is the second time she has been named to the national team with head coach Jill Ellis targeting prep for the Rio Olympics.

While she is certainly on the outside looking in at a spot on the American Olympic team this summer, Lewandowski can still find her way into the squad. If she's able to put together a perfect camp, Lewandowski could force Ellis to reconsider her versatility in the Olympic squad.

The first match against Japan will take place on June 2 in Commerce City, Colorado, and the second match will be on June 5 in Cleveland, Ohio.
