Robert Lewandowski capped his 2015-16 season with his 30th goal of the campaign during Bayern Munich's final game of the Bundesliga season. He split the Hinrunde and Rückrunde perfectly with 15 goals in each half season, becoming the first player to score 30 goals in one season since Dieter Müller did it way back in the 1976-77 season.
After the match, Lewandowski was awarded with the prestigious Torjägerkanone from Kicker magazine. The award has been given out to the Bundesliga's top scorer in every year of it's existence. This is the second time in Lewandowski's career that he's won the Torjägerkanone. The first came during the 2013-14 season when he scored 20 goals for Borussia Dortmund.
The 30 goal mark has only been crossed ten times in the history of the Bundesliga, and Lewandowski is now the sixth man to get there. Lewandowski is also the first non-German player to reach the 30 goal mark in the Bundesliga, besting Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's 29 goals during the 2011-12 season.
