Arjen Robben will miss the DFB-Pokal final against Borussia Dortmund because of a groin issue. The Bayern Munich winger suffered an adductor/groin injury during Bayern's game against Werder Bremen. A couple of weeks ago, Bayern's press chief Markus Hörwick denied the claims that Robben was out for the season and believed he'll feature again this term.

"The reports that Arjen is out for the season are false. "We should assume he will play again this season," Horwick said then.

Arjen Robben was targeting a return for the German Cup final against Borussia Dortmund at Berlin Olympiastadion on 21 May, but unfortunately he lost his battle to be fit. Bayern coach Pep Guardiola announced on Friday that the Dutchman is out of the Pokal final against BVB.

"He has no chance,"said Guardiola in response to media questions.

Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso will miss Saturday’s game against Hannover due to a rib injury, while his compatriot Javi Martinez is also out with an ankle injury. The Catalan coach is optimistic that Martinez will be fit for the cup final.
