In a frustrating episode reminiscent of last season, another injury has derailed Arjen Robben's hopes of helping Bayern just as he was returning to top form.

Robben revealed to kicker that there currently is no timetable for his return after suffering what proved to be an adductor injury in practice after Bayern's 5-0 shelling of Werder Bremen (which Robben sat out) on March 12, causing him to miss the all-important Champions League matches against Juventus Turin.

Although Robben subsequently accepted the call-up to the Dutch National Team, the seriousness of the injury soon led him to break off his participation in the international friendly break. He last played for Bayern in the intense 0-0 draw against Borussia Dortmund on March 5.

Robben stated, "It is really frustrating, because I was in top condition again and ready for the important games. But I never give up."

Robben will miss the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinals against Benfica, just as he missed the first in Munich. When asked whether he might return in time for DFB Cup semifinal against Bremen, he said, "I'm working on coming back, but there is no timetable."
