It's not too bad being a Bayern Munich fan in the spring of 2016. In addition to having a shot at another UEFA Champions League trophy, Bayern can clinch the 2015-16 Bundesliga title with a victory on Saturday against Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Allianz Arena.
On Sunday at the Grünwalder Stadion in Munich, another Bundesliga title can be won when Bayern Frauen host Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern need only a solitary point to clinch their second consecutive league trophy, and Leverkusen need only one point to secure another season in the Frauen Bundesliga and avoid relegation. It won't be an easy match for Bayern, as Leverkusen have won four of their last six matches in the league.
Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already promised another dual celebration on the balcony at the Marienplatz for both teams when they receive their respective trophies. Last season was the first time that both the men and women won the league championships in the same season, and they celebrated in style in front of the fans.
