Former Bayern Munich right back Willy Sagnol could be making his return to the club this summer, if a report from L'Equipe is to be believed. While they don't go as far to say it's a coaching position, the report does state it would be a "position of responsibility".
Sagnol spent the last two seasons as the head coach of FC Girondins de Bordeaux. After a sixth place finish qualifying for the Europa League in 2014-15, Sagnol and Bordeaux ran into struggles this season. While spending nearly the entire season in the bottom half of the table, the two parted ways in March. Bordeaux are now in 15th place, seven games out of the relegation zone.
Injuries forced a premature retirement from his playing career, but Sagnol put his stamp on the right back position during his time in Munich. Sagnol won the Champions League, five Bundesliga titles, and four DFB Pokals during his eight seasons in Munich.
