Of the hundreds of teams canvassing Europe, only one team has the opportunity to win a 2015-16 European treble. That club is Germany's Rekordmeister Bayern Munich. Bayern have a seven point lead in the Bundesliga with four matches left, are in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, and are in the DFB Pokal Final.
While both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are still in the fight for the La Liga title, both clubs have already been eliminated from the Copa Del Rey. Manchester City need an absolute miracle to win the Premier League and are already eliminated from the FA Cup.
A club has only completed the treble eight times in the history of the European game. However, over the last decade, the treble has been won a staggering four times: Barcelona 2008-09, Internazionale 2009-10, Bayern Munich 2012-13, and Barcelona 2014-15.
Can Bayern do the relatively impossible and win their second treble in four seasons? We'll find out soon enough.
