Bayern Munich will play Borussia Dortmund in the 2016 DFB Pokal Final. It will be the third time in the last five years that the Final itself will be played between the two German giants.

Bayern put together a 2-0 victory over Werder Bremen on Tuesday, while Dortmund followed it up with a 3-0 victory over Hertha Berlin on Wednesday. When the semifinals were unveiled, it seemed destined that the two clubs would meet in the Final.

This will be the third Final contested between the two sides. Bayern have lifted the trophy twice against their Der Klassiker rivals, including the most recent in 2014 when Bayern won the match in extra time.

Bayern will be looking to win their 18th DFB Pokal while keeping their Triple hopes alive. For Dortmund, a victory would be their fourth, bringing them into a tie with FC Köln, FC Nürnberg, and Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Final will be played on Saturday, May 21 at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
